OochDog and Chantal-  worked for 5 years in the canadian sled dog industry.

We invite you to come visit anytime between 9 30 to 4 30

We will be sitting by a drop-chain of dogs from the Escalade Eskimo Sled dog company who are in town to promote dogsled tours.

Dog sledding in Canada is now largely used as part of the settler- owned tourist industry.

Unfortunately the abuse is often defended by industry mushers as “ indigenous traditional practices’.


RCMP officers systematically killed thousands of sled dogs as part of a government plan to force assimilation into western-style permanent communities.
